Nativity Church // Urban Exploration

Sitting between Ottawa and Montreal is the city of Cornwall. Here you can find Paroisse de la Nativité, Cornwall’s second oldest Roman Catholic church. Construction began in 1887, and it was only in late 2015 that Nativity had to close its doors due to structural issues. Forever? It may be too soon to tell, but for now it sits unused.
A beautiful structure with a long history in this small Canadian city, I had the rare opportunity to explore this currently closed church, including visiting the rarely seen Reverend who is buried in the basement, all the way up to the top of the bell tower. Such a stunning building, it would be a shame if it was left to fall by the wayside.
